A brief essay..

Last decades, the technology had occupied an important place in the society. It is common that persons have mobile and the families have a computer in their homes. The access to Internet to improve enough last years, because the government has sets different educational polities to develop the intellectual skills of the children. In the university the students use the technology everyday through of computational programs, scientific projects, and exposition and conference videos.

In this essay, I will describe about how is the technology in my career (public administration). I would like answers two questions ¿ HOW IS THE TECHNOLOGY IN THIS CAREER? WHAT IT NEED improve? In this form, I hope you can understand and comprehend this situation in EGGP-

The student of humanistic career use less tools technologies that the students of scientific career. For example, the student of medicine use different instrument and machines to make projects, the engineer always designs software or programs to store data. However, the humanist careers hardly ever used technology. In my case I only use the computer and internet, but anything more! This situation is reflected in the equipment of the university, because we have a small computer’s room and the teacher is away from these instruments, but in the scientist career there are one computer by every student and the teacher are insert in this new education system because they stimulate to the students use these s modern technologies and resources of learning.

Respect with to the last point, we can say that the majority of the teachers who do the classes in this career haven´t a nearly relation with the technology, because the minority of the teachers use audiovisual presentation, power point or webs sites. We only have traditional classes, where the teacher dictates or say the class and the students copy and read books in their homes, not producing more interaction.

On this point, I can indicate that in the English class, we frequently utilized Internet for improve our linguistics skills, also we listen to conversations (in English) to improve the auditory skill. In addition, in the English level 3 and 4, the students every week write a post (in a blog), about some topic that it has been proposed by the teacher or by themselves. This tool has done that the students increase their vocabulary and improve the knowledge. In this for, it has become a method and a learning recourse that it produces interactions and communications between the students about different topic like politics and entertainment.

In conclusions, we can indicate that there are few the technological tools here, because the university have not implemented the necessary instrument and there isn´t a nearly relation between the technology and the teachers. In my opinion, the principal reason because the faculty has a poor laboratory is because it is a public university, so it hasn’t much money to invest. A solution could be increase the annual tariff, but the university community never would be in agreement. If we have a better economic administration, maybe the situation would be different..

Today, I am going to talk about the more important notice for me that happened in this year, I think happened many stories that marked the people, like Obama has won the novel prize or the economic crisis, but the notice that caused more impacted to me was Michael Jackson death.

In June, 25th, the king of pop died in your mansion in Holmby Hill, USA, the reason: of a heart attack. I knew of the news when I was in the university, because a classmate told us. Originally, I did not believe her, then I called a friend to confirm the news, so he said me that it was true, Michael Jackson had died, and the CNN confirmed the news.
When I arrived to my house, I see the news on tv, in national or international tv because there was much programs that dedicated their space and did an honoring at the king of pop.

Originally, any people knew the causes of his death, the news said much thing like it was a suicide, or an homicide caused by his personal doctor, but the official report said that the death of Michael Jackson was a homicide, caused by the high consumption of calmates, that they were prescribed by his personal medical: Conrad Murray, who is the principal suspect. Anyway, the reasons of this death not are clear.
In all the world the fanatics cried his hearth and the artist made concerts in his name.

His funeral was an important event, because it was transmitted in different countries, much artist dedicated some words, sang and danced at the king of pop. One moment more special was when his daughter “Paris” said good bye to her father.

It fact was very relevant in different countries, because the world lost a great artist! Also obama regret the death or the artist, and said that he was an icon of the music. In chile, the guardian of “la Moneda” palace, made a tribute to Michael, interpreting “We are the world”.

Challenges in your discipline

Last time, public administration has had some challenges in different areas. For example, we used site called U-cursos where the teachers and the students can upload text, books or other study tools and share with the students. However not all the people use the web site I don’t know the reason, but I think the older teachers don’t understand this new system to communicate. So they don’t use it.

An important challenge, connected with my career is TIC. (Information’s
technologies). These are tools where the people save , process and store different data. It is an electronic mechanism used to different things like business management or makes a decision. The TIC are challenges the things because the people who work in a government use this tool through Internet or credit car!.

Other challenge is electronic Government! It consist is use information’s technology, where the state delivers product and services at the citizen or the factory. Too, it adds that all the information of a service, like salaries and organization have that publish in the web site of the service. I think this is fantastic, because the people can control the government management and know what it happened in these places.

The students of public administrations need have other classes where they learn to use statistic programs or other language. We have both classes but I need more knowledge, because they are relevant tools that you can help to get better jobs or study in a foreign university. Specially, I have statistics class but I only learn theory, and when I used the computer, I worked whit an elemental program!

En the university, we learn English writing in a blog!. I don’t know this technique but it is very good, because you improvise and say your opinions about different topic.

In educations and health the government always implements new politics, for resolve the problems of the people and will improve the quality of life of Chileans! Anyway, I think this politics all help the poor people and the middle class is “abandoned” because some time we have money and any people help us.

Post # 9: Improving your faculty facilities.

Today, I am going to talk about my faculty! I have to say that I don’t like be here, because the infrastructure is badly. This place is very small and old and we don’t green areas and other place where you can have a rest or have a great moment! My classmates use a typical and KNOW sofa that is outside of a class for to sleep.
Also, this faculty have a cafeteria. If you compare this cafeteria whit other in different universities like PUCV or PUC, you could see great differences. For example, here there are some foods and place is small. The prices are expensive because you can pay for a juice about $400! Too the service is strange because the saleswoman always is angry and they don’t know the prices very well so you buy the same thing to different price the same week.

All the situations are common. I think this happened in many places where don’t have much money. It is not notable for my university life. However the things that the faculty needs to improve are the timetable and the laboratory. The classes are strange and inconvenient because you have long spaces where you have nothing. Sometimes the teachers don’t come to work and you lose this time! There aren’t computers for all the students and if you don’t return a book the sanction is high because they don’t have it to lend it for one week.

I think we need other teachers or have substitute teachers when they don’t arrive. Another way would be to inform the absence of the teacher in advance, because you could use that time in another activity and it will be a real benefit because the students have many subjects and some people have a job, so the time is valuable.

The faculty needs to improve the administration but it’s strange because I study Public administration!! It is difficult improve some things because here don’t have much money ( we are a public university) but this career have high cost, so I think that make some changes is possible, like improve the laboratory, have more study text, computers and implement new classes where the people can develop all their qualities.

Free time!

Today I am going to talk about my free time. In this moment, I don’t have much time; because I am studying and I spend much time… you know :)

I have to say that I don`t know how to manage my time because some time I spend much time on things about university and I can’t do other activities, like listen to music, watch TV or go out with my friends!! That is boring and awful! For example, on September 18th my friends went to the disco and I did not go because I stayed in my house studying macroeconomic! For this reason, I think I don’t use the time wisely, but it is typical in students who are beginning their studies, but this situation changes when you are in third or fourth year, so you can practice sports or work!

It is difficult to say exactly when free time I have in a week, I can not tell 15 hours! But I have time for practice swimming. I go at pool Thursday and Friday. The class takes around one hour. I like this because it is relaxing and I have learn very much, I didn´t know swimming but today I Know! I hope learn more, all styles and to have technique and SPEED ! Also, every weekend I am going To Curico. The people think there I don’t do anything, but that it false, because there I study very much, more that in Santiago. (I prepare the lesson for all the week). Maybe it is because in Curico I am quite and in Santiago I am nervous and I send more time doing one activity._ some time, In Curico, I work in a Bakery like a cashier. This job is easy, but you have much responsibilities managing money!

If I would have more free time, I would like to works and practice more swimming. I would like to work in DOGGIS or in other place of fast food, because they are fun places, and they have many customers! If I have a job I could spend the salary in my own things. Like that I have economic independence. Magnificent! … Also, I would practice more swimming. I would like to go all days.

I thing the people have more time whit the technology, because you can communicate by chat, mobile or internet. These are faster ways to have conversations face to face. But the relationship between the persons are unstable and you not form important bond!

Britain to send more troops to Afghanistan

The prime minister of britain Gordon Brown, confirmed that britain will send 500 troops to afghanistan, because this country also will increase their soldiers in Helmand. In the house of commons the head of government said that he made a decision because the afghans president assured to him that they deploy more troops for fight whit britain soldier.

The notice was announced in the chambers common, just when they was recording the people that have been killed in the conflict and obviously, also they said some words for the family of the victitm: “ Nothing can erase the pain for their families. I know everyone in this House sends their thoughts and prayers to their families. Their memories live on."

In afghanistan, the britain troops are under certain conditions:
1.- the new afghan government must show commitment, and the afghans troops fight close to us.
2.- all the troops have the tools necesarry for the activities in thos country.
3.- the commitment is part of an international colition.
The second points is reinforced, because the troops are trained and they will receive all the help necesarry, including metal help services, whey the soldiers return to Britain. this topic is important for all politcis because in the summer, many soldiers died in Afghanistan.
Although; Brown sends 500 news troops to Afghanistan, the people are desagrement. “According to the Populus poll, a trirt of voted believe British forces should be withdrawn, The figure has increased to 36% from 29% in mid-September”.


In this notice, we can not forget USA, because Gordon said : “in "close consultation" with Obama before making his announcement, will privately be hoping the US president follows his example by making his own pledge.” However, the americna plans are uncertain.

A world of sport

Hello everybody!!
I never had practiced sport until this semester. In July, I began a take siwimming ´s class. I go 2 o 3 times a week. For me is very funny, because the classes are fun y intense and I have leaned enough.
We practice 4 styles: front crawl; back crawl, butterfly stroke and breakstroke. For me the most difficult is breakstroke, because I don´t have the necesary fources in my arms. Anyway, i like to go at the pool and I hope to learn more everyday.

The nacional sport should take a principal position in the public politics of the goverment, becuase it help the health of people in differet aspect like: lessen stress and overweight, and load hapiness.
In chile is necesary set a minister of sport, becuase we need new politics, more recourses in this area for familiarizare the sport with the persons and create sports conscience in the chileans.

We need help the players Olimpic or profesional . Many times sports notice show complaint about the few recourses that have the sports asociations. Inclusive, sometimes they don´t have money for to face a competition.

I think the rodeo is not a sport, becuase it use animals and it´s the animal who practice sport, not the people and also, the cow pain becuase is beat and only is used for this activities. really is difficult modificate this, because is old chilean tradition, specially in the country people.
Other activities that isn´t a sport are : fighting dog, “corridas de toro” of San Fermín,, in short is any sport that use animals becuase this sufer and are hurt. Inclusive they find the dead there.
